A road accident on Fogo Island, in Cape Verde, caused the death of 25 people when a bus fell into a ravine. The vehicle was carrying mostly children and teenagers. The tragedy also left 14 injured.
RTP went to the scene and reported what is considered the worst road tragedy in Cape Verde. Local authorities are investigating the causes of the accident.
The driver's son pointed to a possible brake failure as the cause of the accident. The information was collected by RTP on the ground.
