Turkey prepares its population for a war scenario and set a goal of having 83,500 operational bunkers by the end of the year. The information was cited by El Español, which revealed the country's civil protection plans.

The underground structures are designed to ensure basic survival conditions for 21 days. The bunkers should be able to function autonomously, without relying on external support, for at least 72 hours.

This plan is part of a broader context of defensive preparation by the Turkish government, which has been reinforcing its civil protection capabilities against potential threats. Turkish authorities are working to ensure that the shelter infrastructure is ready to respond to large-scale emergencies.
