Average surgeries in the NHS decreased

The NHS performed 19,000 fewer surgeries in the first half of the year, representing a decrease in the number of surgical procedures performed.

However, not all Local Health Units followed this trend. There were some ULS that managed to perform more surgeries, bucking the national trend.

One of these units is the ULS of Entre Douro e Vouga, which achieved increases reaching 15 percent in the number of surgeries performed.
