Portalegre: City Hall available to mediate solution at the Oncology Unit

The mayor of Portalegre, Fermelinda Carvalho, stated this Wednesday that the municipality is following the reorganization of the Oncology Unit at Hospital Dr. José Maria Grande and expressed availability to serve as a bridge between patients and the administration of the Local Health Unit (ULS) of Alto Alentejo. Fermelinda Carvalho revealed that she has already had contacts with the ULS of Alto Alentejo and that the municipality intends to continue following the situation of the patients of that oncology unit. The mayor highlighted that the city council aims to be a mediator between patients and the health administration, in order to find a solution for the ongoing reorganization. Hospital Dr. José Maria Grande, in Portalegre, is the hospital unit referenced in the context of this mediation that the municipality made itself available to promote.
