UMa receives 550 new students at the start of the academic year

The University of Madeira (UMa) held a welcome session for new students on September 11, at a time when approximately 550 students who begin their academic journey at the Madeiran institution were already enrolled.

The initiative took place at the Penteada University Campus, starting at 2 PM, and aimed to welcome students placed in the first phase of the National Access Contest to Higher Education.

The event was also aimed at international students arriving in Madeira through mobility programs, reinforcing the international component of the university.

With this start of the academic year, UMa welcomed a significant number of new students, seeking to facilitate their integration into university life.

Centenary Parade marks 100 years of Setúbal's elevation to district capital

A Centenary Parade was held in Setúbal to celebrate the 100 years of the city's elevation to district capital, a date commemorated since the edict of December 22, 1926.
