The CDS-PP Parliamentary Representation at the Legislative Assembly of Madeira presented a Motion of Congratulation for the participation of athletes and officials linked to the Autonomous Region at the XX Mediterranean Games, held in Taranto, Italy. The initiative was presented by deputy Sara Madalena and aims to recognise the performance of Madeiran participants at the international sporting competition.
The motion particularly highlights the four Madeiran athletes who contributed to the Portuguese medal tally during the games. Among the highlights mentioned is athlete Ana Brito, representing Clube Naval da Calheta, who won the gold medal in the K1 500 metres canoeing event, completing the course with a time of 2:00.73.
