A fox cub was rescued after spending approximately nine hours trapped in a narrow underground pipe in Humberston, Lincolnshire County, England. The animal, named Valor by the rescuers, was located this Sunday after residents heard its cries coming from beneath a grate in the street.
According to the Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue organization, the fox had crawled approximately 300 meters through pipes before getting stuck in a pipe of only 10 centimeters in diameter. Firefighters were initially called, but could not reach the animal.
Anglian Water mobilized engineers, who used specialized cameras and location equipment to identify the exact point where the fox was. The operation also had the participation of veterinarians to assist in rescuing the animal.
