Rádio Alto Minho9 September 2026 at 10:27

The Municipality of Ponte de Lima and the Municipalities of Arcos de Valdevez, Ponte da Barca, and Viana do Castelo have joined forces again to submit a joint application for Wine City 2027. This collaboration represents a strengthening of the commitment to the valorization and promotion of the Lima Valley territory.

The application aims to promote the identity, heritage, gastronomy, and wine-making tradition of the region. The project was presented to the Portuguese Association of Wine and Vineyard Tourism, the entity responsible for evaluating the applications.

This is not the first time the four municipalities have united for this cause, demonstrating a continuous commitment to the development of the region through the wine sector. The goal is to position the Lima Valley as a reference destination for wine-related tourism.
