The public service of the island of Terceira, in the Azores, will benefit from tolerance of point on the so-called "Terça-feira das Lajes". This service exemption applies to public administration workers who perform functions on the island.
The measure is related to the traditional festivities in honor of Nossa Senhora do Rosário, patron saint of the island. This is a long-standing celebration in Terceira, with great religious and cultural significance for the local community.
The tolerance of point allows public servants not to have to ensure service during that day, benefiting from a day off to participate in the festivities or activities related to the celebration.
