The secretary-general of JPP, Élvio Sousa, defended this Wednesday, at the opening of the party's parliamentary sessions dedicated to the theme "Ferry and Territorial Continuity", that there are two pathways to materialize a regular maritime connection between Madeira and the mainland.
The first pathway is the political-institutional one, through State funding. The second pathway involves the search for an operational alternative through private operators.
Élvio Sousa argued that maritime transport should be viewed as a right associated with the territorial continuity of the region.
