The Portuguese Government approved the extension of support for agricultural diesel and fishermen. This decision aims to continue supporting two economic sectors particularly affected by high energy costs.
The support in question was ten cents per liter of diesel, having been in effect until June 30. With this decision, the support will now be extended until the end of the year.
The announcement was made by Prime Minister Montenegro during the debate on the motion of no confidence presented against the Government. This political context makes the moment of the announcement particularly relevant in the Portuguese parliamentary landscape.
