Four victims after fire in vehicle next to building in Rio de Mouro

A fire in a vehicle parked next to a residential building, on Avenida das Descobertas in Rio de Mouro, caused concern among residents of the area this Monday late afternoon.

The alert was given at around 6:25 PM, with the Voluntary Firefighters of Agualva-Cacém dispatching an ambulance, a tanker vehicle and an emergency response vehicle to the scene.

The situation caused four victims from smoke inhalation. Two of the victims, considered more serious, were transported to Hospital Professor Doutor Fernando Fonseca, in Amadora-Sintra, where they received medical assistance.

The situation was normalized around 7:49 PM, according to a source from the firefighters confirmed to Correio de Sintra.
