The Castro Verde Municipal Council promotes a set of initiatives to mark the start of the 2026-2027 school year in the municipality. The council states that these actions aim to reinforce its commitment to education, support for families, and recognition of all those who contribute daily to the educational journey of children and young people in the municipality.

On Wednesday, September 9, at 6:00 PM, the ceremony for the delivery of vouchers for the purchase of school supplies will take place in the Noble Hall of the Town Hall. These vouchers are intended for the direct descendants of the Castro Verde Volunteer Firefighters and volunteers of the local delegation of the Portuguese Red Cross. This delivery is integrated into the Municipal Cards for Firefighters and the Red Cross, representing a measure of support for families and simultaneously an acknowledgment of the essential role these volunteers play in serving the community.

On Monday, September 14, starting at 4:00 PM, there will be a reception for the school community, bringing together teaching and non-teaching staff from the municipality's educational establishments in a moment of welcome and the start of another school year.

On September 16, at 5:30 PM, the public ceremony for awarding school merit prizes will take place, where students who stood out for their academic performance and achievements in the 2025-2026 school year will be recognized. The Municipal Council indicates that the ceremony aims to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of students, valuing their educational journey and encouraging the pursuit of excellence.
