The energy sector in Portugal is dominated by a small group of large companies, according to an analysis by Iberinform. The ten largest organizations in the sector concentrate around 78% of the aggregate business volume, which reveals an enormous inequality in market distribution.
This concentration occurs despite the majority of the Portuguese business fabric being made up of micro-enterprises, which represent a much smaller share of the total billing in the energy sector.
The analysis was published by Iberinform, a business information company, this Tuesday.
