Two cats of the Egyptian Mau breed were stolen from a residence in Penha de França, Lisbon, in a case that is being investigated by the authorities. The theft occurred during the afternoon yesterday, when unknown individuals entered the dwelling and took the two animals.
The owners of the cats reported that the animals disappeared while they were at home. The police were called to the scene to investigate the circumstances of the theft.
The two cats are considered pets of great sentimental value to their owners. So far, no further details have been released about the identity of the suspects or the whereabouts of the animals.
