U.S. veto on Canadian Bombardier may benefit Embraer

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, threatens to block Canadian manufacturer Bombardier from selling aircraft in American territory. If the threat is carried out, Brazilian Embraer could benefit in the North American market.

Bombardier is a direct competitor of Embraer in the executive jet market. Both manufacturers compete for customers in the private aviation segment, especially in the United States.

The dispute between the two companies is fierce in the competition between specific models. On one side, Embraer offers the Praetor 600 and Legacy 500 models. On the other side, Bombardier competes with the Challenger 3500.

Bombardier is a Canadian aviation manufacturer, while Embraer is a Brazilian aerospace company. The veto may represent a significant competitive advantage for Embraer in the American market.
