The FÉRTIL festival returns to Olhão on October 3rd and 4th for its fourth edition, which for the first time takes place at Parque Ribeirinho Poente, by the Ria Formosa, between 14:00 and 23:00, with free entry. The event is co-produced by MOCES and the Municipality of Olhão, with the support of CCDR Algarve, Turismo do Algarve and companies such as Necton, Viveiros Monte Rosa, KODIS and Algarve Evolution.

The programme is based on four main axes – Environment, Community, Culture and Innovation – and includes music, talks, lectures, workshops, cinema, exhibitions, family activities, wellness, creative market and gastronomy. On the musical side, Sensible Soccers perform on the 3rd and Rossana on the 4th, as well as DJ sets by Pedro Ramos and Joana de Verona.

The move to Parque Ribeirinho Poente represents a new stage in the festival's journey, allowing it to expand the programme and strengthen the connection to the territory and the Ria Formosa. Among the topics covered in talks and workshops are the Villages of the Future, education as infrastructure for sustainability, the circular economy, conscious eating and the Solar Punk movement.

The area dedicated to families will be run by Associação Rotinas Selvagens, while the Healing Area will be managed by Positive Hands with wellness experiences. Artists & Fleas returns with independent production projects, design and art, and gastronomy will be provided through food trucks and restaurants with sustainable practices. The festival also continues with the clay cups bearing the FÉRTIL seal and encourages the audience to bring their own cup to reduce waste.
