Belgian filmmaker Chantal Akerman, who died in 2015, is the subject of a film season available on the Filmin platform and at Cinema Trindade in Porto. Akerman is known for her innovative work in experimental and avant-garde cinema.

The film "Jeanne Dielman, 23, Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles", made in 1975, holds the first place in the prestigious list of Greatest Films of All Time, compiled by Sight & Sound. This nearly three-hour work documents the domestic life of a widow in Brussels, becoming a landmark of feminist and auteur cinema.

The season proposes a complete retrospective of Akerman's work, allowing viewers to discover not only the film considered the best of all time, but also the rest of the director's filmography. The programming is divided between in-person screenings at Cinema Trindade and availability on the streaming platform Filmin.
