An 80-year-old man died today after being run over by his own car in the town of Joane, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão, district of Braga.

The information was confirmed by Civil Protection, through a source from the Sub-regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection of Ave.

According to the same source, the victim was trying to push the vehicle, ending up crushed by his own car.

The incident occurred today, resulting in the death of the octogenarian at the scene of the accident.
