The Centro de Recolha Oficial (CRO) in Guarda has inaugurated a new neutering and sterilization room, strengthening its capabilities in animal protection. The space recently came into operation and has already performed its first surgical intervention.
The first patient to benefit from this new infrastructure was a feline, which was successfully submitted to a sterilization surgical procedure. The operation proceeded without complications and the animal responded well to the procedure.
The medical team responsible for the intervention was that of the Municipal Kennel/Cattery, which ensured all necessary care during the surgery. This integration of resources allows the CRO in Guarda to offer a more complete veterinary care service.
With this new room, the Centro de Recolha Oficial in Guarda now has better conditions to meet the sterilization needs of the animals in its care, contributing to population control and the promotion of animal welfare in the municipality.
