The completion of the new PSP police station in Ponta do Sol should be above political disagreements and electoral interests. This position was taken by Carlos Ramos, municipal councilor for the PSD, during the ceremonial session for the 525th anniversary of Ponta do Sol.

Carlos Ramos called for a transparent and coordinated solution for an investment considered essential to the population's safety. Without entering into the discussion about the figures presented or about responsibility for the successive delays, the councilor focused his speech on the need to move forward with the project.

The theme of the new PSP police station comes in a context of multiple postponements and debates about the best way to complete this security infrastructure for the population of the region.

The new Quaest research for the government of Rio de Janeiro, released this Tuesday, places former mayor Eduardo Paes (PSD) in isolated leadership with 39% of voting intentions. In second place appears Douglas Ruas (PL), president of the Legislative Assembly, with 18%, followed by Anthony Garotinho (Republicanos) with 8%.
