Globo has officially confirmed the production of "Avenida Brasil 2," the long-awaited sequel to the soap opera that became an audience phenomenon over 14 years ago. The Brazilian channel has already set a date for the return of Carminha, the iconic character played by Adriana Esteves.

Among the characters who may be returning to Divino are Carminha, Tufão, and Muricy. These characters were fundamental to the original story, which revolved around the intense war between Nina and Carminha, capturing the attention of millions of viewers.

The success of the original soap opera crossed the borders of Brazil, becoming an international phenomenon. The story of the rivalry between the two main characters kept viewers glued to their screens throughout its run.

"Preto no Branco": Jorge Barroso Shows 36 Works in Vila Viçosa, a Transformation of Contrast into Art (w/photos)

Painter Jorge Barroso inaugurated the exhibition "Preto no Branco – Black in White" at the Gallery of the Florbela Espanca Cinema-Theatre, in Vila Viçosa, bringing together 36 works marked by the exclusive use of black and white tones. Native of Rio de Moinhos, the self-taught artist has dedicated approximately 30 years to painting and writing, presenting his work for the first time in the municipality. Through the contrast between light and shadow, Barroso explores depth and volume in his works, demonstrating how a limited palette can create different atmospheres, forms, and emotions. The exhibition, which will remain open until September 27, also represents a moment of cultural dynamization for the municipality, with the presence of the Vice-President of the Municipal Council, Tiago Salgueiro, who highlighted the quality of the works presented.
