Sines: Engineering Meeting in Alentejo Takes Place in October

The Engineering Meeting in Alentejo will take place on October 10 and 11 in the municipality of Sines, in the Setúbal district. The event includes technical visits, tours, sports activities, and socializing among participants.

This year's edition is co-organized by the Sines branch of the Order of Engineers and the district delegations of the same institution.

The meeting aims to bring together professionals and students in the engineering field in the Alentejo region, promoting knowledge exchange and networking among participants.

The organizers recently released the complete program for the event, which promises two days of diversified activities for participants.

Parpública confirms State entry in REN

Parpública confirmed that the Portuguese State now holds 13.7% of REN, after completing the acquisition of 91.7 million shares in the company responsible for the national electricity and gas networks. The operation, agreed on August 14, was completed after the departure of Pontegadea Inversiones, the investment company of the owner of Zara, making the Portuguese State a reference shareholder with a qualified stake exceeding both the 5% and 10% thresholds of voting rights. The value of the transaction was not officially disclosed, although the Jornal Económico reported that the contract sent to the Court of Auditors indicated a value of 380 million euros. State Grid Corporation of China remains the largest shareholder with 25%.
