The GNR identified three men, aged between 35 and 45, suspected of stealing a catalytic converter from a vehicle in Marinhais, in the municipality of Salvaterra de Magos. The incident was reported to the authorities through a complaint regarding the theft of the catalytic converter.
Officers from the Marinhais Territorial Post went to the location and, following the investigations carried out, intercepted the vehicle in which the three suspects were traveling. The GNR recovered the stolen catalytic converter and also seized an angle grinder, which was used in the commission of the crime.
The three men were made formal suspects and the facts were referred to the Judicial Court of Benavente, which will be responsible for the case.
