The mayor of the Municipality of Boticas, Guilherme Pires, signed a protocol for the allocation of financial support with the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Boticas, in the amount of 46 thousand euros, intended for the acquisition of a new rescue ambulance.
The meeting where the protocol was signed was attended by the mayor of the municipal council, Guilherme Pires, and by the vice-president of the firefighters' association board, Carlos Ferreira.
According to the municipality, the acquisition of this vehicle aims to meet the needs identified in the association's current vehicle fleet, contributing to the modernization of its operational means, strengthening the response capacity and improving the conditions of patient transport.
The municipality of Boticas states that the investment results from the institutional collaboration with the firefighters and the importance of the work they carry out daily in operations for the protection and rescue of the population, ensuring that the corporation has adequate means to fulfill its mission.
