Alcoutim hosts between September 11 and 13 the 73rd edition of its main annual festival, which is expected to once again bring thousands of visitors to the town for three days of music, entertainment, tradition and community spirit along the Guadiana river. The programme runs simultaneously with the celebrations of Municipality Day.
The musical lineup features Tony Carreira as headliner on Friday, David Antunes & The Midnight Band with the special participation of Jéssica Cipriano on Saturday, and Ivandro as the closing act on Sunday.
The Municipality of Alcoutim announced the "Embarque na Festa" transport service, which provides connections between Vaqueiros, Martim Longo, Giões, Pereiro and the town during the three days of festivities, with several departure and return schedules available.
To increase parking capacity, a temporary change to road traffic will be introduced between 5:00 PM on September 11 and 7:00 AM on September 12, with the N122-1 road closed to south-north traffic and parking permitted on one side of the road. The council calls for compliance with temporary signage and directions from authorities present at the site.
