The Public Security Police arrested, this Tuesday, in Espinho, two men, aged 38 and 41, strongly indicated for the practice of at least six robbery crimes. The investigations had been ongoing for some time and led to the identification and capture of the suspects in the city.
The robberies occurred throughout the summer, the period during which the two men operated in the city of Espinho. The authorities managed to collect sufficient evidence to attribute to the arrested men at least half a dozen crimes of this nature.
In one of the robberies committed, one of the suspects used a false identity as a Judicial Police agent to carry out the criminal action. This strategy was used to deceive the victims and facilitate the completion of the robbery.
The two men were brought before the competent authorities for questioning and possible application of coercive measures. The PSP of Espinho did not reveal more details about the modus operandi used in the remaining robberies.
