Duo Bandonica takes a musical journey to Ribeira Seca

The Centro Cívico Cultural e Social da Ribeira Seca welcomes, on September 19th at 7 PM, a concert by Duo Bandonica. The show is part of the project "Fala-me de Música", an initiative by ABM-Madeira that aims to bring music closer to the public through free admission presentations.

Duo Bandonica is composed of Francisca Abreu, a mandolinist from Madeira, and Alessio Ferrari, an Italian accordionist. The two musicians come from different geographical origins, but they find in the mandolin and accordion a common space for dialogue and musical expression.

Angra do Heroísmo presents the Atlantic Music Festival "Sounds of Macaronesia"

The Municipal Chamber of Angra do Heroísmo presented the Atlantic Music Festival "Sounds of Macaronesia", which will take place on November 20 and 21 at the Cultural and Congress Centre of Angra do Heroísmo, in the Azores. Organized by the association FraterUne, the festival promotes the encounter between cultural expressions from the archipelagos of the Azores, Madeira, Canary Islands and Cape Verde, featuring performances by the Azorean group Quarto Crescente e Amigos, the Madeiran Xarabanda, the Canarian El Batijero and the Cape Verdean Recado pa Terra. The event aims to strengthen the historical, cultural and identity ties that unite the different archipelagos of Macaronesia, affirming Angra do Heroísmo as a meeting point for Atlantic cultures.
