New application makes it easier to find running events in Portugal and abroad

Jornal 3608 September 2026 at 11:38

The Correr Por Prazer project, dedicated to running for 17 years and created by Vítor Dias, launched a free application that brings together in one place the agenda of running events in Portugal and abroad. The tool was developed for Android and is available through the Google Play Store, with the aim of facilitating the search and consultation of sports events directly on the mobile phone.

The application allows users to search for events according to location, with information organized between Portugal, Europe and the rest of the world. It is also possible to select a specific district or country, making the search faster for those who want to find a race near home or participate in an event during a trip abroad.

Each event has its own profile with data provided by the organizers, including the date, location and available distances. The agenda covers various modalities, from 10-kilometer events to half-marathons and marathons, not forgetting the different trail modalities.

The iPhone version is not yet available, but Apple device users can continue to consult the agenda through the Correr Por Prazer website, which is adapted for mobile use. More than a simple agenda, the new tool aims to facilitate the first step of any running challenge: finding the next event.
