Drivers organized a protest with horn honking, known as "Buzinão," and a slow march against the rising fuel prices. The protest actions took place in two distinct locations: on the 25 de Abril bridge and in the city of Sines.
During the protests, drivers demanded that the Government implement tax relief measures, namely cuts to the ISP (Special Tax on Petroleum Products) and VAT (Value Added Tax), in order to mitigate the impact of rising fuel prices.
The protest participants accused the Executive of benefiting from successive fuel price increases, arguing that the State is filling public coffers with tax revenue from these price hikes.
The protest reflects growing discontent among motorists regarding the high cost of fuel, at a time when prices continue to rise and affect consumers' household budgets.
