The river beach of Valhelhas, located in the municipality of Guarda, was the most voted in the election organized by the publication "River Beach Guide". Loriga, in the municipality of Seia, came in second place in this initiative that recognized readers' preferences.

The vote counted with the participation of thousands of people and involved 216 river beaches and bathing areas across the country. This was a nationwide initiative that allowed readers to express their choices regarding the best river beach destinations.

Ukraine admits difficulties in intercepting Russian ballistic missiles

President Zelensky admitted that Ukraine faces significant difficulties in intercepting Russian ballistic missiles, after a large-scale Russian attack on Kiev that killed at least two people. The Ukrainian Air Force intercepted 31 of the 32 cruise missiles launched, but ballistic missiles remain particularly difficult to intercept. Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga denounced that Putin launched the massive attack right after the departure of US peace envoys. Zelensky announced new meetings with countries and companies to obtain PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems, the most effective against ballistic missiles. The attack also hit a market in Odessa, a locomotive and a railway station in the Sumy region.
