New Russian attacks on Kiev after the end of the three-day truce

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General8 September 2026 at 10:47

The Russian army today ended the three-day truce of attacks against Kiev, agreed for the weekend and Monday. The pause in bombings was broken with a massive attack against military companies, logistics centers and warehouses in the capital of Ukraine.

The attacks also continued against port infrastructure in the city of Odessa, maintaining military pressure on strategic Ukrainian objectives.

The announcement of the end of the truce represents an escalation in the conflict, reversing the period of reduced hostilities that had been temporarily agreed upon.
