The Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, was heard in Parliament to answer questions from deputies, on the same day that the debate on the motion of censure against the Government was taking place. Luís Neves is also a former national director of the Judicial Police.
The controversies surrounding the minister include the seizure of a trailer in Operation Pacoba, suspicions about contracts signed by the PJ, issues related to property declarations, as well as audits and oversight by the Court of Auditors.
These controversies have been accumulating new fronts over two months, threatening the Government and generating political pressure on the minister.
The debate on the motion of censure against the Government coincided with Luís Neves's hearing in Parliament, increasing the political charge of the moment.
