Algarve beats Gothenburg 4-1 in UEFA Regions Cup

The Algarve Senior Men's Football Selection defeated their counterparts from Gothenburg 4-1 in the opening matchday of the UEFA Regions Cup. The match took place in Munkedal, Sweden.

At half-time, the two teams were level at one goal each. In the second half, the Algarve side demonstrated superiority and managed to score three more times, thus building an expressive victory.

The scorers for the Algarve side were Afonso Calvinho, Afonso Reis, who scored twice during the match, and Francisco Coelho.

The Algarve team returns to the pitch on September 10th to face the English selection from Cheshire.
