At 70 years old, Nina de Pádua is back at Globo after 21 years without participating in soap operas on the network. Her last appearance was in "Alma gêmea" (2005). The actress, known for work in classic soap operas like "A gata comeu" (1985), was invited to make a special appearance in the soap opera "Quem ama cuida".
In the plot, Nina will play a judge responsible for the trial of Ademir (Dan Stulbach), a character accused of sexual harassment. The soap opera already features other actors from "A gata comeu", such as Eduardo Tornaghi, Fátima Freire, Élcio Romar and Kátia Moura.
Nina herself revealed her joy at the invitation, which caught the artist by surprise. She said she is very happy to be able to "screw over Ademir" and joked that her character will be relentless in the trial.
Even before being invited, Nina was already following the soap opera daily. The actress said she is an avid viewer who gets irritated on nights when programming is reduced because of soccer.
