US Open: Zverev beats Darderi and reaches quarterfinals

Alexander Zverev advanced to the US Open quarterfinals after defeating Italian Luciano Darderi in three sets, with scores of 6-2, 6-2 and 7-6 (3). The match took place at the iconic Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.

The German tennis player showed absolute dominance, especially in the first two sets, in which he did not concede a single service game to his opponent. The tiebreak in the third set was more balanced, but Zverev managed to seize the advantage to close the match.

With this victory, Zverev secures a spot in the quarterfinals of the tournament, where he will face Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp, his next opponent in the race for the US Open Grand Slam title.
