Former mayor of Famalicão received more than 570 thousand euros in contracts since leaving the City Council

SAPO Notícias8 September 2026 at 08:30

Durval Tiago Ferreira, former vice-president and councilor of the Vila Nova de Famalicão City Council, received ten adjudications from the municipality for legal services since leaving municipal office.

The total amount received by the former mayor exceeds 570 thousand euros in contracts with the municipality.

The situation raises questions about the relationship between former municipal officials and public contracts awarded after they leave political positions.
