The poor results of Portuguese students in the international PISA study generate concern at the Ministry of Education. The government dismisses political responsibility for the worsening of learning evidenced in the study data.

However, the Ministry of Education states it is responsible for finding solutions that allow reversing the trend of declining results by 2029.
