Portugal is about to gain its first wave pool for surfing. The complex, called Surfers Cove, is being built in Óbidos, located approximately one and a half hours from Coimbra. The structure promises to bring a new way to practice surfing in the country, allowing enthusiasts of this sport to surf regardless of sea conditions.

The project is emerging in the Óbidos region, which has been establishing itself as a growing tourist destination. Surfers Cove emerges as an innovative infrastructure in the Portuguese sports landscape, joining other sports complexes already existing in the area.

This new complex represents an investment in the surf and sports tourism sector in Portugal, a country already globally recognized for the quality of its natural waves. The wave pool complements the existing offering, allowing surfing practice throughout the year and under controlled conditions.
