State deputy Douglas Ruas (PL) opened the series of interviews conducted by O GLOBO, Extra, Valor and CBN Radio with candidates for governor of Rio de Janeiro. The interview with Douglas Ruas took place on Tuesday, starting at 10:30 AM, with live broadcast on radio, on the newspapers' websites and on YouTube.
William Siri will be interviewed on Wednesday, followed by Garotinho on Thursday. The current governor Eduardo Paes closes the programming on Friday. Each interview lasts an hour and a half.
The interviews are being held in the GLOBO newsroom studio in Rio de Janeiro, and are conducted by CBN Rio presenters Bianca Santos and Leandro Resende, by the political editor of GLOBO and Extra newspapers Thiago Prado, by columnist Bernardo Mello Franco and by Francisco Góes, head of Valor's Rio bureau.
Voters in Rio de Janeiro can also follow the interviews through reports in the media outlets and video clips on social media. GLOBO reports that it continues with extensive coverage of the 2026 elections inside and outside its studios.
