A pilot died on Monday after a small aircraft hit a power transmission line and crashed onto an avenue in Titusville, Florida, in the United States. The accident occurred shortly after takeoff from Space Coast Regional Airport and caused a fire, as well as power outages in the area.
The accident occurred around 10:16 a.m. (11:16 a.m. Brasília time), on Columbia Boulevard, near the airport. The single-engine aircraft was carrying only the pilot on board.
The incident happened one day after another aviation disaster in Florida: a Boeing 767 cargo plane operated by 21 Air for Amazon Prime Air went off the runway during landing at Miami International Airport, hit vehicles, and killed five people who were on the ground.
