A collision between two vehicles ended with a car in the Maracanã River, on Monday night, in Tijuca, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The accident happened at the intersection of Professor Manoel de Abreu Avenue and Felipe Camarão Street. Agents from the 6th BPM (Tijuca) came across the occurrence during patrol along Professor Manoel de Abreu Avenue and confirmed that one of the vehicles had fallen into the canal. Two people were rescued by the Fire Department with minor injuries. The victims were removed from the car by the firefighters and received medical treatment at the scene.
