Man aged 29 arrested for driving seized car in Braga

The car had been previously seized due to lack of civil liability insurance. The arrested man was notified to appear in the Judicial Court, where he will answer for the crime of disobedience.

Manhole releases smoke and scares pedestrians at Largo do Machado, in Rio's South Zone

A manhole on Rua do Catete, at Largo do Machado, in Rio de Janeiro's South Zone, released intense smoke on Monday afternoon, scaring pedestrians passing by. The Center for Operations and Resilience (COR-Rio) registered the occurrence near number 11 on the street, after being contacted by the Municipal Conservation Secretariat (Seconserva). The Light utility company was called to handle the case, and the Fire Department was also informed about the incident. To ensure safety during the response, one traffic lane had to be closed. So far, no victims have been reported.
