The candidate for President by Avante, Augusto Cury, ended on Monday (7) a walk with supporters in Copacabana, in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro. He arrived at the event around 11:30 am, two and a half hours after the start of the gathering.
During the event, Cury said that the ministers of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) need to account to Brazilians. According to him, the STF or some members of the Court must present all necessary accounts to their "boss", which is the taxpayer. The candidate emphasized that there is only one boss: more than 200 million Brazilians.
Cury declared that it is not possible to accept any more corruption in the country and stated that whoever does not owe, defends themselves, and if they truly do not owe, they are free, but whoever owes must be condemned. He highlighted that Brazil cannot withstand so much corruption.
The candidate stated that he is not making a value judgment, but said that, as a Brazilian, doctor, businessman and worker, it is necessary to stop this "corruption epidemic". According to him, Brazil is collapsing.
