A permanent committee meeting took only three minutes to convene the plenary of the Assembly of the Republic to debate the censure motion presented by Chega.

The Chega censure motion will be the first presented to the XXV Constitutional Government, led by Luís Montenegro.

It will also be the third censure motion directed at PSD/CDS-PP executives led by Montenegro since the beginning of his governance.

In historical context, this motion represents the 37th censure motion in democracy in Portugal.
