Germany is facing a significant political earthquake, according to the analysis of a specialist consulted on the situation. The analyst described the phenomenon as a cross-cutting movement, which crosses the traditional divisions of German politics.
The specialist identified the cause of this movement in the erosion of the German political center. This deterioration of the centrist space has enabled the growth of forces that were previously kept on the margins of the system.
Regarding Saxony-Anhalt, possible governance scenarios were considered in light of the sanitary cordon that is traditionally applied to extremist parties. The sanitary cordon consists of agreements between other parties not to cooperate with forces considered anti-democratic.
The analyst also admitted the possibility of a parliamentary blockade that could lead to early elections in the region, if it is not possible to form a stable government majority.
