Three minutes were enough: permanent committee meeting convened plenary to debate censure motion

The meeting of the permanent committee of the Portuguese parliament lasted only three minutes and served to convene the plenary in order to debate a censure motion presented by the Chega party.

The censure motion is directed at the XXV Constitutional Government, led by Luís Montenegro, which is composed of PSD and CDS-PP.

This motion represents the first censure presented against the current executive and the third against PSD/CDS-PP governments led by Luís Montenegro.

In the Portuguese democratic context, this is the 37th censure motion debated in parliament.
