The University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro continued the work of the VITEX project in the vineyards of the Casa de Mateus Foundation, in Vila Real. The research team carried out evaluations of the physiological state of the vines, collected samples of plant material for subsequent laboratory analysis, and analyzed different parameters related to production.
The VITEX project focuses on developing solutions based on the circular economy, seeking to promote the use of agricultural resources and contribute to a more sustainable, efficient viticulture prepared for future challenges.
The work is being carried out in partnership with the Casa de Mateus Foundation, reinforcing the link between scientific research, wine-producing activity, and sustainability.
