The former mayor of the Municipality of Porto, Nuno Cardoso, died this Monday at dawn, at the age of 64, at Hospital de Santo António. The news of his passing was followed by reactions from the Socialist Party of Porto, which paid tribute to his political legacy.

Nuno Cardoso was remembered as a man deeply dedicated to "the public cause" and the city of Porto. His political career was marked by his commitment to serving the community and local governance.

Chamber Committee approves weapon carrying for traffic agents, court officers and other public servants

The Public Security Committee of the Chamber of Deputies approved a bill that extends the right to carry firearms to various categories of public servants, including traffic agents, court officers, socio-educational agents, tax agents, criminal experts, environmental enforcement agents, members of the Public Defender's Office and public attorneys, and child and youth protection agents.
