Rubber dinghy found on Meco beach. GNR says it was used for drug trafficking

A rubber dinghy was found on Meco beach, in Sesimbra, after a fisherman alerted authorities to the presence of the vessel.

Initially, it was thought that dozens of people could have disembarked from the dinghy, raising the possibility that they could be migrants.

However, after investigation, the GNR concluded that the situation was related to drug trafficking and not to irregular immigration.

The case is being investigated by the military authorities of the GNR.
